The Principles and Practice of Hypnotherapy |
|

"This book is a response to the urgings of students I have taught or worked with for many years. It will interest anyone contemplating consulting a hypnotherapist. Primarily it will encourage practitioners and students of hypnotherapy to rely less on the conservative practices of age regression, past lives and abreaction. Guidelines show the practitioner how to stimulate the subconscious to do its own healing and how to create harmony amongst the often conflicting ego-states. The teacher or lecturer will see it as the why, what and how of hypnotherapy. Numerous demonstrations and scripts are included, accompanied by the relevant theory."

Jane's Dream has been written for children aged between 7-11. It tells the story of Jane who is being bullied at school and how through a wonderful dream, she is able to resolve her problem.
The story uses metaphors and language to assist and empower children to find those parts of themselves able to resolve the problems and difficulties they experience. And so the book is not simply limited to the central theme of bullying at school.
Ian Hayward is a naturopath and a hypnotherapist. The book is the result of Ian's experience as a teacher and a therapist.
